Wax Removal Yes, candle wax can be removed from your carpet is not an easy task and it might take some time and patience. First make sure to scrape as much wax as possible from the carpet with a spoon or a carpet bone scraper, vacuum thoroughly you might try putting some ice cube in the wax to harden it and make it easier to removed excess. Now to get the rest of the wax out of the carpet cover the wax with a clean brown paper bag and place a clothes iron on it, set tempeture low this will melt the wax and it will transfer to paper. If still you notice some residue repeat step with a clean brown paper bag. Remember some colored waxes will dye the carpet and will need professional spotting techniques. After removing wax from the carpet rinse the area with clean water. Blot up the excess water, and dry the area quickly. A fan can help with this or a hair blower. Quick drying prevents any of the dye stains deeper down from wicking up of the surface.
